What to make of travelers who do not travel?
In March of 2020 (oddly the same number deemed the “best” for vision screening, the WORLD was thrust into a pandemic). I am writing carefully here, because even this, a virus, has become a political lightning rod in our polarized 21st Century world. Most travel is no longer possible. Some has returned. There are “Covid” rules about wearing masks on airplanes, countries that are not open for foreign travel, and even whether children may go to school, how far they must sit apart, and whether employees MUST be terminated if they choose not to take a vaccine. I should also add that Russia (under Vladimir Putin) has invaded Ukraine. The world is at odds with how to deal with this. But there is a still a whole world to see. And we want to see it. We are getting closer to retirement, and had made many financial sacrifices to see the world. Who knows what the future holds? We remain ——- undaunted.
